Hi Guy,

When it comes to finding the right agent or agent team to help with the sale of your most valuable asset, I believe you should look for experience and community knowledge beyond the number of signs you might see in your area, but....there's more to it than that! Look to quality, not quantity!

You'll want to interview to find an agent with whom you are comfortable, who is honest and straightforward with you because that agent will market and negotiate on your behalf. Every good agent will work for your best interests, so what really matters is with whom you feel most comfortable.

Real estate companies don't matter nearly as much as the individual agent you choose since you will communicate with that person, not a company. Ask how the agent markets homes: does s/he use a variety of media outlets, since most buyers now begin their search online? You might also ask for local satisfied client references, too.

I've worked in Streetsboro and surrounding towns for almost a decade so if I can be of assistance, don't hesitate to contact me.

Best of luck,

Diane Norris

Guy:

One rule on Trulia is that agents are not to market themselves in the Q & A Section. So, I will state some facts:
1. Keller Williams Realty has more than 73,000 agents.
2. Marketing on the internet is a crucial part of selling a home. 200 or more web sites is a good number.
3. Many Sellers interview 3 Realtors, to check out marketing plans & other services each provides.

As Lucia says, it depends on the area. I am sure you have seen many Howard Hanna signs around town. We are the largest real estate company in NE Ohio with over 2,100 Realtors. Networking and the internet sell homes and we sold the most of any other Broker in Ohio, by far. In fact, we are number 4 in the whole USA! Check out my website for details. I also list my homes on over 20 specialized real estate sites for world wide exposure. If you emailed me your address, I could send you all the info on homes sold and for sale within a mile of you. Good luck, Guy.

Hi Guy,
That's not a very easy question to answer. It will depend on your neighborhood and there are probably several realtors selling homes in your neighborhood. I had one in Tinkers Green sell in 2 weeks this year after a different realtor had it for 6 months. You want a realtor who is aggressive and communicates well with you. For instance, price and condition are your two most important things to get your home sold. So you want a realtor who is going to be honest with you to get your home sold and not just tell you what you want to hear. Let me know if you'd like me to complete a comparable market analysis for free for your home. Thanks, Lucia Mack 216-534-0969 Luciamack@Luciamack.com is my email.
