If unfamiliar with the area don't simply rely on opinions, rather take the time and visit the neighborhood more than once and at different times of day; possibly chat with locals, check out everything that is important to you, etc., then determine if your comfort level can be reached....

Dear Buddy-bibi,

This area of the Bronx intersects with Parkchester and you have access to buses, the Parkchester and Bruckner Shopping areas. As well as the No. 2, 5 and 6 trains. If you are interested in Schools Statistics, Home Prices, Crime Rates or other information, Trulia has allows to search and view those datat. I always suggest to clients that they walk the area in the day, night and weekends to get a feel of it. Everyone's outlook is different and since you will be living there, that is one of the best resources. You can also tallk to the local police in the area to get more information.

Please give me a call if you would like to discuss further.
