I am familiar with the area, but have not seen the properties you are referring to. Are they in Trulia? What are the asking prices? What type of homes are they? There can be any one of a number of reasons that the properties have not sold. However, I do not believe the area to be a “poor neighborhood”. Many people in that area have purchased two adjacent semi detached houses, and made one very large home. This then pushes up the value of other homes in area (for better or worse). The properties may not have sold due to, poor exposure, poor condition, or proximity to the elevated F train (noise issue). Tough to call.
