Everyone wants to feel safe. Individuals and families want to remain protected from violent or property crime. The crime data should not be totally relied upon when making a decision on where to live. Since you are concerned and you already live in the area, research local government web sites for crime data or call the police or sheriff department directly for information.

Below is the website for our local government:

Go to this site and search for crime rate or search the web for crime rate in 31903. I hope this information proves useful to you.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
