It is about 65 blocks. If you bike you would go straight down 15th Ave NE. That road has a number of hills and the traffic is relatively fast. The bus is a good option. But then, a bus from anywhere in the city is a good option. If you are busing, there are more dynamic places I'd like to live unless you are really into Northgate mall and surrounding strip malls which is the main source of nearby retail.
HI Sonia - It isn't terribly far, but not walkable really if that is the question. Luckliy, there is a nice transit system in Seattle which would make it much closer.
About 10 minutes taking Roosevelt by car. The 73 bus takes 26 minutes and biking takes about the same amount of time. If you use google maps you can drag your cursor to revise your bike route and get different commute times.
Sonia,
A great tool I use to figure out the answer to questions like yours is Mapquest and GoogleMaps. You can put in address, ask directions and get turn by turn help to get where you want to go complete with distances.
Yes, it is about 4-5 miles, but the bus is pretty quick & it is an easy bike ride as well. It would only take me 15 minutes at rush hour, but the rest of the day, not more then 10 minutes.
