To Ron:

Capitol Hill isn't for sale? Oh, yes it is. Virtually all 535 members of Congress have price tags on them. Some come cheaply. Some cost more. Don't believe me? Ask the AMA. AARP. Chamber of Commerce. Or even the National Association of Realtors. RPAC boasts that during the last election cycle it contributed more than $12 million to pro-Realtor candidates to Congress. See http://www.realtor.org/government_affairs/RPAC $12 million can buy a lot.

Was it Jack Abramhoff who, when asked whether his political contributions may have influenced votes on the Hill, said something like: "I sure hope so"?

Oh yes. Capitol Hill is definitely for sale.

Don;
Yes, you're right, but it's like buying a Condo; you get something in the air, with a lot of promises and problems, and nothing concrete.
