Good Morning Mr. Rosamond,
Thanks so much for the interest in our area! You can go to our website, http://www.heberspringsrealty.com and find out a lot about our area, but let me tell you just a little! We have a new hospital, new college, new community center complete with an olympic size indoor pool, indoor walking track, weight room, etc. We also have the beautiful Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River where the record brown trout was caught! If this house would be your primary residence, you would also qualify for a $350 homestead tax credit towards your real estate taxes. We have a Walmart, Sears, Dollar Store, Freds, etc. for in town shopping. We are about 30 minutes from Searcy and about 40 minutes from Conway or about an hour from Little Rock. So, between these 3 larger cities you would have all the amentities available! I hope this has helped with your questions! Let me know if you have any other concerns! My name is Linda Johnson and I am the Executive Broker for Heber Springs Realty. My email is linda.hsr@gmail.com. Thanks and God Bless!

I know that Heber Springs is a popular vacation area. It is situated by Greers Ferry Lake.

You might try looking on their Chamber of Commerce website. http://www.heber-springs.com/content/?q=relocation_area_info…

It has some great info on the area. also you can try city-data.com for some local statistics.

If you like the area and want help finding a home. give me a call, I would love to help you out.

Since real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods, consider additional online research and do take the time and visit the area more than once. For any safety concerns, do contact/visit the local police department and ask all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand; for shopping and health services, consider a Google search and Google Maps for distance; also consider workking with an agent of your own, he/she will be your best guide.

http://www.crimereports.com is one website. I'll leave the rest to your local experts discuss the appreciation, shopping, etc.
