The crime rate and violence is not high. As with many of Trulia's features, the data quality is so wrong. Another example would be their estimates of value. First, though I have to comment that their figures for crime in South Padre are based on our population which is around 5,000. We have thousands of vacationers that don't equate into that number. Very distorted. Second, Texas is a non-disclosure state so when they put a value on a home they have nothing to base that figure on and they post it anyway. Stupid. As you can tell, most Realtors are very disillusioned with Trulia. I have personally offered to sit on a panel to help Trulia with some of these issues but they have ignored that offer. So sad. You can go to our website at http://www.PadreRealEstate.com
to find listings that are pulled directly from our MLS. If you want comparable sales figures, we can give those to you and they will be real figures.
