Drive to people's homes that have recently expired and knock on there door and introduce yourself. It's free! Can't get more inexpensive than that.

Cold calling! Yikes!!! Does anybody do that anymore? I know that living in the Southeast Florida area, where people don't even have home phones any more (land lines), you're going to need iron clad will power...
On the other hand, I prefer word of mouth, create great impressions everywhere you go, Supermarket, Laundry, Etc., and ask if they might know someone in the market, that please you need the business! People like to help, when given the opportunity.
Internet advertising is a good way if you can get a budget together of at least $500 per month. Start your website with Wordpress and an IDX plugin (don't pay more than $60 per month), later advertise in places like Trulia, Zillow, Homes, Etc. Make sure can commit for at least 3 months worth of advertising.
Good luck!

Get on the phone - it's free if it's a local call! Stamps are getting expensive - even more expensive as of today - so mailings are a big commitment. Make sure you check the Do Not Call list and start making calls to people - neighbors of new listings, a neighborhood you want to focus on, condo owners in a building where a unit has just sold, etc.

Go after expireds. But not just recent ones - dig back three years at least. The market is improving - there's a good chance they'll be able to sell this time around.

Door knock. Most agents in my market say "Oh that wouldn't work in our market" but there are a couple of super succesful agents in our market who do a *lot* of listings and they built their businesses on door knocking.

Good luck! Listings are the name of the game right now.

Talk to people. The more people you talk with the more likely you will connect with people who need your help in selling their home.

Have an amazing day!
