We have numerous small beach communities in the Saint Augustine area. There is Vilano Beach just north of town, Crescent Beach just south of town and then there is Anastasia State Park on Anastasia Island. This pristine, unspoiled beach is a protected park and there will never be any building. This picturesque beach is what made me settle in this area. There are so few beaches with soft white sand that stretch for miles without massive highrises and hotels. We have this slice of Old Florida that is a well kept secret. There are homes and condos in our area to suit every lifesyle and budget. When in the area, work with a licensed Professional REALTOR. They can make the home search an enjoyable experience.

I have attached a link to a map indicating St. Augustine Beach. http://travel.yahoo.com/p-map-475130-map_of_st_augustine_bea…
as well as Vilano Beach map: http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Vilano%20Beach&state=FL
Each of the beaches has a different "feel" with terrain, residences/rentals, proximity to activities and the historic downtown area, ability to drive on, ride horses on, etc. Anastasia Island is where themore famous beaches are with miles and miles of smooth sand. There are different developments/areas on Anastasia Island - Davis Shores, the "Magic Triangle" with the Alphabet streets and numbered streets, gated communities such as Sea Colony, Marsh Creek, Ocean Palms, Seagate; ungated communities such as Sea Place, Commodores Club, SeaGrove, and many condo units. The farther south you go on Anastasia Island, the more tapered the Island gets making for views of both the Intercoastal and Atlantic Ocean from some properties. It is also "quieter" farther south as well as up north in Vilano Beach. You can map search for homes on the website below or search for particular neighborhoods. It's a bigger question than one would think because so much of St. Augustine is about the beach and the neighborhoods vary so greatly with price range, home owner restrictions, architecture, etc. Hope this is helpful.

Anastasia Island sits between the ocean and the intracoastal waterway. There are numerous condos, and single family homes on the island that might fit your needs. To be honest, anywhere east of 95 is close to the beach (within a 15/20 min. drive time). Let me know if you need my assistance in locating the perfect home for you.

For a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime, St. Augustine Awaits You!
