even better choice for the back yard, I think each individual community and village, city has its own
rules and regulations, first whether it is allowed at all, and then the conditions and terms under
which the village or city will give permission, so you really need to go to the village or county it depends on where your live, the zoning and the rules of your area.
Good luck to you, I believe we all should have ducks or chickens in the back yard, but that is just me.
