Dominion Valley and Piedmont are both nice communities with numerous amenities. We moved to Haymarket from FFX county in 2002. Both communities are family friendly. We looked at Dominion Vally but were turned off by the idea that you had to pay "extra" depending on what amenities you choose to use. ..which, to me, seems just flat out dumb. Traffic out of Haymarket going east is a major NIGHTMARE!!!! Hubby's commute to Fair Lakes (19 miles) took over 90 minutes EACH way, and widening 66 has not helped any with that. We no longer live in VA and I'm happy to report that I do not have to get on any interstate for any reason except to go to the city. If I had a choice now, I doubt I would have made that move. We moved because we got a lot more house for the money than we could in FFX county!

Family friendly and there is always something going on at the clubhouse for all ages! If you haven't checked out the facilities I encourage you do so. If you would like to see resales as well let me know, you can see all available resales and new homes for DVCC at via this link, http://www.4allnovahomes.com/results?city=Haymarket&cid=…
They have plenty of trails for walking the dogs and lakes they have recently stocked for fishing. Newer schools and plenty of recreational activities for the whole family in Western Prince William County.

I have lived in Dominion Valley for 10 years and have been the top selling agent in the neighborhood for several years, representing both buyers and sellers. DVCC is a wonderful place to raise a family. We rised 3 children through their middle and high school years here. There are 4 schools within the boundaries of neighborhood. All are award winning schools. They are Alvey Elementary, Gravely Elementary, Bull Run Middle (2011 only), new middle in 2012 opens (Ronald Regan Middle) and Battlefild High School. To see photos of the neighborhood and learn everything DVCC has to offer go to my website at http://www.dominionvalleyinfo.com, click on the You Tube icon on front page and then view Dominion Valley video. Also browse the website to learn about all the different styles of homes, information about our country club and also home owner's association information. We have lived across the South and Midwest. DVCC is the BEST place we have ever lived bar none.

The growth in the Haymarket/Gainesville/Bristow area during the past 15 years has been explosive. This means the schools surrounding Dominion Valley (J.W. Alvey E.S., Mountain View E.S., and Battlefield High School) are all built within the last 10 years, and incorporate the latest learning & media technology. Shopping centers (Braemar Village Square, Merchant's View Square, Gateway Shopping Center, Market Place at Madison, Shops at Stonewall), and community service facilities have been recently developed. This is a very clean and well maintained area.

I worked in Prince William County law enforcement until 2002. Based on 13 years of experience policing all areas in both police districts, I can tell you the Haymarket area is a relatively safe area to raise your family. If I were considering a move to Prince William County, the Haymarket area would be my first consideration. I base this mostly on general public safety, well planned communities, and schools.

If you would like to learn more about this area, go to: http://www.MaryanneMoyers.com. You can find a search application which includes a home search connected to our MLS system which is continuously updated. This search also gives you My Life search options to research any questions you may have have regarding amenities, community services, and anything you would want to know before deciding to conduct real time home search. Hopefully this helps. Like the other agents on this thread we would appreciate your business. Good luck on your move to Prince William County. Call us if we can assist you.

I have helped two buyers purchase property in Dominion Valley in the last year. It's a great community with loads of amenities. The gated, golf course nature of the community make it very attractive to many buyers.

If you are interested in more information on Dominion Valley School districts, I can point you to the Prince William County Public Schools website at http://www.pwcs.edu.

Haymarket has several neighborhoods with great amenities, local schools and neighborhood shopping. Visit http://www.townofhaymarket.org to see the activities the town of Haymarket offers. This Saturday is their annual holiday party - a great way to check the town out! It is a quaint little town with a small town feel.

There is a major interchange/overpass under construction at Route 29 and Route 66. There is currently a BJ's club under construction along with a large multiplex movie theater, more shops and restaurants. We currently have many nice restaurants and shops. The area is growing!

I am a Fairfax County native and have lived here since 1989 - no regrets. We have been involved in all of the youth sports organizations which are very active.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Both Dominion Valley and Piedmont are great places for families. Both have great amenities ( walking paths, fitness centers, community pools, playgrounds) and don't forget golf. There is plenty to do in the Town of Haymarket or just down the road in Gainesville. I have two kids in the local elementary school and have been very pleased with the teachers and administrators.
If you need any assistance finding a home, please don' hesitate to ask. I would love to help.

Consider taking the time and visiting the area more than once, and look at everything that is important you; a nice place is subjective--what may be nice to you, may not necessarily be the case for another.
