I am a Real Estate Consultant in the St. Louis area. We can not, legally, advise you on whether a neighborhood is a good place for children. Each person has their own opinion of what that means. Can I suggest checking with the Police Department to get crime statistics, check the School District's website, and drive through the area you are interested in at different times of the day a couple of times during the week & a couple of times on the weekend. Also, I would check out the Chamber of Commerce website. I can tell you I know a few people families that live in that area who are very happy.

Are you working with an agent? If not, give me a call and we can discuss the services I can offer and how I can help you locate a great home! I could also discuss what kind of information you might want to see on a neighborhood report I can run from the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). However, I would not rely on that report alone when making any decisions. This report can give crime statistics, shopping availability, and more. Also, check out my new website. It is still under construction, but you might find some interesting information for buyers.
