It's funny you should happen to ask this question this morning, Guy.....I just finished up a conversation with my daughter who moved here from Michigan. I live in the 93003 zip code - East Ventura - and drove my Granddaughter to private school downtown near the beach in the 93001 zip code. The difference is remarkable. We left a beautiful California sunshine day. By the time we arrived at the Seaward exit, the sky was gray, all car lights were on, the fog was thick enough to obscure much of the ocean view. I had to explain to my daughter why her child is wearing a thick sweater to school this morning when it is so gorgeous outside here on the east end! There are times when the sun burns the fog by noon; other times when it is closer to 4:00 p.m. Normally this begins in late May, "May Gray", continues throughout June, "June Gloom", and ends by mid July. This year, however, May and June were gorgeous, July was gray, and August has been more gray than normal. I hope to see our normal beautiful sunny coastal September - Mid May soon! And that's it for the Ventura weather report!!! On my website, under "Community Info" is a relocation package I put together for the entire Ventura County area. There you can find helpful links, including weather patterns, for our diverse County. Hope to see you here soon!
