Is it realistic to move to Avenutura and not have a car? My plan is to walk to shopping, coffee, movies and health club by living near the mall.

if you move to one of the nice condos located near Aventura mall like Venture condo you will be at walking distance of everything. You won't need a car at all.

If you will stay local its a good idea and buses are organized and on schedule to move to other beach areas like miami beach, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to walk around too or to Bal harbour mall to dine and shopp.

Yes, it is realistic if you use a courtesy bus (for shopping in Publix supermarket). You'd be best situated if you settle around Turnberry gulfcourse and walkway (to walk, rollerblade, bike etc) - because it is close to Aventura Mall, with it's many restaurants and AMC movie theater.

There are many different condos in that area and some are less expensive with smaller maintenance fees than others.

There is a sport's club in the mall (with great juice bar)...and there is a Miami Dade fitness club on 188th St. (same street as the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center). There is a couple of nice shopping plazas over there as well, with Barnes & Nobles and two Starbucks for your coffee.

Would love to show you what Aventura has to offer,

Aventura is a beautiful area with walking pathways throughout the many luxurious golf resorts. The Aventura Mall is an upscale shopping mall, the largest conventional shopping mall in Florida. It has three floors of retail space, comprising 300 stores. In addition there is a food court with eighteen fast food eateries. There is also a large movie theater. Depending on which building you live in, you will have access to gym facilities for exercising. If you enjoy walking, you have everything right there within the community!

Hello there,
You can do it if you're going to be very close to the mall, but keep in mind that there are very warm days in this area, starting in April and until the beginning of October to walk. But for those warm days or ranny days you have a solution with the bus shutters the city of Aventura offer, and they are free!.Check here http://www.cityofaventura.com/index.aspx?page=262
