Often the best resource for neighborhood safety questions is the local police department. They have access to the most accurate and current information and are generally willing to be helpful.

The best thing to do is check directly with the local Police Department. Also check with http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/

In addition, visit the location at certain hours on your own. I always encourage my clients to spend time in the neighborhood and if possible meet a few neighbors. Understand they can sometimes be complainers.

Absorb all the information, disseminate the truth from fiction and then make the right decision.
