My children were raised in Buffalo Grove and it is a great community to raise kids in. The schools are highly rated and there are many activities for children. We do have a community center as well as a hockey rink if your kids skate. You can view my website at http://www.northernillinoishomes.com and I have all the school links, community links and many homes for sale in Buffalo Grove to look at. We can also send you listings to view. I hope this helps.

Yes, Buffalo Grove is a very family oriented town. Much of that has to do with the great schools in Buffalo Grove. There are 3 different school districts, Districts 102, 103 and 96 that all feed into Stevenson High School.

I live in Buffalo Grove and District 102 and we have a great network of friends. My kids are involved in many different sports which has given them to make friends throughout all the school districts.

Buffalo Grove is definitely a family oriented town as a whole & I personally live in Buffalo Grove myself so I can speak from experience.

As with any area though different subdivisions & pockets within the village itself will give you a different feel and will have things you may/may not like. There is a very wide spectrum of areas/price ranges within Buffalo Grove.

In addition to Buffalo Grove itself, many of the surrounding communities for the most part are very similar & do share school districts.

BUFFALO GROVE NAMED BEST PLACE TO RAISE KIDS
Buffalo Grove was named as one of the top fifty best places in the US to raise kids according to a Business Week survey. Working with national real estate researcher OnBoard in New York City, Business Week identified the top fifty communities based on five criteria: test scores, cost of living, recreational and cultural activities, number of schools, and risk of crime. Only seven Illinois communities made Business Week's top 50. Congratulations Buffalo Grove!

Go to the city website read the stats' about the community of ages and etc. Many communities can be catered towards a younger population, than where children may live. You can also tell based on number of schools in the given area, reviewing ISD websites are wealth of information.
