I would like to know what the average rate charged for cleaning out foreclosed homes is?

My husband and I want to start our own clean out business and are looking for help in setting up pricing, who the best companies are to market our services to and any other info you think would help us get started. I normally would pay for Joe's book but I can't afford it since my husband and I are both unemployed at the time. We are so motivated and are desperately needing to make money. Any advice you have for us would be greatly appreciated. If you have any contacts in the So. California area and can share them we would be thrilled. We want to start immediately and just need a point in the right direction. We are working on a website but need more information to set it up right. I know we have the right ideas on how to market our business we need contacts.
Hope you can help us. My email contact is carole_elo@hotmail.com Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Carole

Hi Carole,
Sorry to hear about your employment situation. It's really tough out there so here's some advice I hope helps you. Your best bet is to contact some of the top local real estate agents in your area, ask for the top REO agents, and send your contact info to them. Tell them that you'll beat any price they are quoted. Some agents have to pay these fees out of their own pockets and are later reimbursed by the bank. An agent in this situation is going to want to limit thier costs. Sometimes the banks hire companies directly, but it's really hard to break into that market.

You can sometimes find the top REO agents by looking at zillow and seeing who has the most listings. Most REO agents will have 20 or more listings.

Hope this helps.

Hi Carole,

I'm going to send you a private email too! I admire anyone who is starting out in their own business...so I'd be happy to give you some contacts and ideas privately!

Good luck with this, great idea! You can market to agents, banks and consumers who buy these homes.
