I agree, it is probably a scam. Did you discover the rental online? If you did there is a scam where people try to get money from you.

Probably a scam. If the rent sounded too good to be true, it probably is a scam. I tell people to contact property management companies directly.

We're all in agreement…the sale is legit but the rental is probably a scam. Never give cash without doing a thorough background check on the owner of the property and be sure of who you are talking to. If they want cash or offer a discount for a cash payment be very wary of those types of transactions.
