Doing a drive by a house for sale and listening to sounds over 15 minutes, talking with neighbors, seeing if there are times of day such as a school dismissal that affect traffic, checking for sex offenders, etc. are all good things to do prior to buying a property. When you choose a Realtor to assist you, he will point out even more things than this to check out before buying. Good luck!

If you are referring to North Lawrence, the trains run through the area and must whistle at the crossings. There are homes in the area located in close proximity to the tracks. They usually run on a schedule, so you get used to it. There are homes further south that are similar in price range and further from this influence. Let me know if you need help finding a great Lawrence, Kansas home!
