Back in 1959 my wife and I moved from so. philly to wissinoming. I can see wissinoming park from our porch. The neighborhood has gone thru many changes over the years but the park is just as beautiful as it was in 59.

Some say its not safe to walk thru it but I dont listen to what others try to instill in people. Im a 73 yo male and I love walking thru the park to get to Frankford Ave to board the 66 bus. I still do all the gro shopping and have it delivered. I use the bus to get to Shoprite.

We took care of our home unlike so many others do today and I take pride of what my wife and I have done over the years. Unfortunatly I lost my wife last year but I have many great memories which include wissinoming park.

Does anyone remember the firework displays they had at the park ? I do. Its a shame that stopped so many years ago. My family from so. philly would come up to see them. I remember taking my young cousin from Italy to see them. He was amazed at the size of the park. He spoke of it for months after.

Yes, I have the memories. All good when it comes to Wissinoming Park. There were some not so good things that happened but I dont ponder on those.

Id better close before I go on and on...Enjoy the park. Thats what its there for
