I am looking at a home on Hope St, near Dolan Elementary. Is this a safe area? And, how busy is this road?

Hello Goddess,
I like Hope Street area very much. We recently added 2 terrific opportunities available for ownership, please click the following link to see videotour (cut and paste into your browser)

Hello,
I suggest that you contact the Stamford Police Dept. to hear first-hand about crime activity in that neighborhood.
Here is their web site for information on who to contact: http://www.stamfordpd.org/

Here are also a couple of web sites that track crime activity that you may wish to check out:

Yes, Hope Street is a busy road as it is a main route running north and south through the Glenbrook and Springdale neighborhoods on up into New Canaan. Sorry, but I don't know the number of cars and trucks passing through there but, because the middle school is close by and also a grocery store this does increase the traffic even more so. Something to consider.

Best wishes to you!

Hope Street is a main north-south artery on the east side of Stamford. It is busiest at peak commuter times but the traffic is continuous.

Are there any stats about how many cars typically go through within a 24hr period? Do a lot of trucks go on there or mainly cars?

Dolan is a middle school. I would feel safe in that area. Hope street is busy, especially when the school buses hit. Are you looking to buy or rent? I have a rental coming on in Springdale on a quiet cul de sac. If you are interested, you can email me at dhandley@william pitt.com. Thanks. Diane

Hey Goddess

The state of CT prohibits agents to discuss the safety of neighborhoods as it's highly subjective. I can provide you a link where you can find out more information about that.

Hope Street can be quite busy, but the surrounding streets are very desirable with a lot less traffic. And in some cases are cul de sacs.

Please let me know where I may send you that link. I look forward to helping you.

I would love information, but particularly for that area, not all of Stamford. I have already looked up stats for that. My email is g0ddess39@yahoo.com.

Hi Goddess,

As Andrew wrote both Hope and Belltown are heavily used roads. Consider side streets like Derwen, Ruitz or Deleo. Realtors, by law, can't comment on how "safe" a neighborhood is. Please contact the police department, they should have information to share.

Best,

Hi Goddess39,
The area around Dolan Middle School is fairly busy. Hope street, Toms rd and Belltown rd all have significant traffic.

Please fell free to contact me with any other questions you might have.
