Lots of green space both city and county. Expected to clean up after pet in any public parks. The Grants Pass Dept of Public Safety is nationally accredited. They are very carfully chosen, there are no bad apples, no shakedowns. If you go 60 in a 30 zone, you will probably get a ticket! There are no habitual crime areas and comparatively little crime.

If you are concerned about crime, do contact/visit the local police department and ask all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand; if not familiar with the area, consider additional online research and do visit more than once...

The services here in the Grants Pass area seem to be very easily accessible. My mom is 85 - called for an amulance-we live 8 miles outside of town and they were at her house within about 10 minutes.
