As far as Brooklyn goes, Bay Ridge is the classic true "Brooklyn" neighborhood. Nobody wants to change it. Residents like it the way it is and the people moving into the neighborhood are doing so because it is what they want... true "Brooklyn." Remember, Tony Manero (Saturday Night Fever) was from Bay Ridge, the neighborhoods character and reputation precedes itself and that is the draw to the community. The businesses may evolve or change over time but the character of this community will always be the same. Plus it is a really cool place to hang out.

Bay Ridge is a very eclectic area that has everything for everyone. From the clubs to the food, it was one of the first neighborhoods in Brooklyn to be like this. Some of the best people from Brooklyn reside there for generations.

There are also cathedral sized churches, the best schools and a view of the Verrazano Bridge and Manhattan from the Brooklyn Promenade that can’t be beat. You can find old world style houses mixed in with coop buildings along with parks around the shore area. 3rd and 5th Avenue may be very busy, yes, but down the side streets you find some of the most beautiful, queit tree lined blocks Brooklyn has to offer.

Bay Ridge has this charming 'old Brooklyn feel' to it mainly thanks to the architecture of the buildings. It is very diverse and eclectic. The area can boast its picturesque park zones and the promenade. It's a beautiful and vibrant neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, clubs, bars and shopping (Century 21 draws hundreds of people to the area). It's a perfect spot for young professionals. Inexpensive and reasonably priced rentals together with fast and easy commute to Manhattan make Bay Ridge so attractive and desirable to new businesses and younger residents. R train will take you to Manhattan in about 30 min.

Born and raised in Bay Ridge. Personally, I feels it's just like Luke said, it's got a little bit of everything! The quiet shore road parks and small tree lined streets, the big brand stores on 86th street and an amazing night life on 3rd! Bay Ridge is also home to good public and private schools!
