Depends what part of L.E.S, you can walk up E. Houston or hop on the bus that will take you Houston and 6th Ave. If you're on Essex St you can hop on the bus, M14 which goes across Essex and makes a left on 14th St across the city. You can walk up Houston or Grand St or any street that goes West and then on Bowery walk up Bleecker and that will put you in the heart of the village,or cab it on rainy and snowy days. Best of luck.

It's literally a ten minute walk, you can take any of the lower streets.

Very Easy!

East/West 3rd Street, Bleecker Street and East/West Houston connect the East and West Village making transportation simple. A cab, bus or train will take you to your point of interest very quickly, but walking is not bad at all. By foot, you will find hidden gems along whatever street you choose to take; choose Bleecker and take a quick pit-stop at one of the many restaurants or bars on the way across town.

I love walking through The Village, experiencing the unique buildings and shops that you cannot experience in other parts of Manhattan.

Very easy to get from east village to west village. 15 - 20 minutes walk, depending on which route you take. You can also take a cab, bus or train and get there quicker.

Greenwich Village is approximately 2 miles wide from the Hudson River to the East River and it's a nice walk.

Follow the link to the subway map. Or you can take a cab or the crosstown bus or even walk.
