How do I find out about benefits for Oregon for disabled vets. Such as license plates/camping discounts/property tax etc.
My husband has a service connected disabilty and we take advantage of these benefits ourselves, camping season can't get here soon enough! Everything you ever wanted to know about Oregon's Veteran Benefits are in the link below. I know this thread is older but I figured better late than never... Of course if you looking to buy in Oregon VA Loans rock! Of course the funding fee is waived with a service connected disability of 10% or more : )
Good Luck.
Jody, Here is the site that explains the disabled veterans property tax break for Oregon....
http://www.oregon.gov/DOR/PTD/IC_310_676.shtml
See if this site will help you find public records or info on license plates ect..http://publicrecords.onlinesearches.com/Oregon.htm
Best of luck, Dunes
Jody...
I am not aware of any property tax breaks for disabled Vets through the county tax assessment office. Having said that I think there are probably State and Federal aid that is available to help pay them.
As far as the rest of those questions I say check out this site:
http://www.odva.state.or.us/
If you are a Vet God bless you man. Life is hard enough without the challenges of disabilities and I wish you all the best in this world sincerely!
