Are you asking for someone to give you a car, or asking for help on how to obtain new business?

If you're looking for new business, why not stop by real estate offices, and offer coupons for your cleaning service that agents can purchase, and give out to clients..... either as welcome gifts, or to get a home ready for the market? It might lead to being hired by the client on a regular basis Maybe you can also put an ad in the local paper offering new moms or new home owners a special rate.

Good luck!

Look for more customers. Every time I send out a just listed card to one particular neighborhood, one of the women who lives there calls to ask if I know anyone who needs their house cleaned! Thumbs up to her, I'm impressed!

You need more customers. So you need to market. If you are marketing, you need to market better.

For example, presumably your customers are happy with your quality. Offer them a referral bonus. Any customer they refer to you who signs up and pays for a month of cleaning gets a free house cleaning themselves.

Also, anyone who calls up to cancel, offer them a reduced service at reduced cost. Let's say you've been cleaning a home 4 times a month for $60 per cleaning. They want to cancel, saying the economy's bad. As a "loyal customer special," you offer twice a month cleaning for $50 per cleaning for up to 6 months. You make it clear to them that it's a special for loyal customers, and you're willing to work with them until things improve.

Another tip: Follow up on people who cancel. Call once a month and find out if their situation has changed. It's a lot easier to bring back former customers than to find new ones.

Also, reexamine what you're charging for your services. Perhaps you ought to be charging more. Or offer some add-on services. One woman I've met who does house cleaning--her husband does minor repairs, handman sort of services. If you have a husband/brother/sister/child who can offer an add-on service, promote that, too.

Your problem isn't an old car breaking down. That's a symptom of not enough income--either from not enough customers, not charging enough, or both. Fix the real problem and bring in more income.

Hope that helps.

your car is now on the repo, list. ? However it has not been repo`d?

Talk to your lender, pay them something. A car is important in your business and being in QC.

You only lost a few of your customers, so then you only have to replace a few customers. You have been doing this for 24 years, you know how to attract clients, take a deep breath and move forward.

Be grateful for what you do have. Think positive.

Never Surrender
