I'm renting a mobil home in Webberville Mi. I've heard from several people that the home doesn't have a C of O. How would I find if it does?

If it is in a park, the office would have one on file. Otherwise you would have to contact the state, and would have to have the registration number. You may want to start with the landlord. Best of luck. Mike

Is it a CO which means certificate of occupancy or in some places, in order to rent a property you need a COC which is certificate of compliance. You will have to call the housing standards department, they will arrange an inspection where they will check the mechanicals as well as for safety issues. They should be able to gove you a list of what the codes are. For instance cant have a leaking roof, windows must work and have screens, must have handrails, no peeling paint, no leaking faucets, hard wired smoke dectors, working heating system and such. Call your town hall for more info... Good Luck Casey
