I think that anywhere is Southern California would work great for anybody, but there are so many options that you might want to think about what it is you are looking for.
Do you like the beach, the desert, or the mountains?
Are you looking for something in a big city, or maybe something a little more rural (yes there are SOME areas like that here.)
And what industry you work in could be great deciding factors. From there...even just by searching around the internet you could narrow it down to a great location.
Best of Luck!
I live in Mission Viejo....and work all over Orange County. I also work up in the local mountains (I have a home in Lake Arrowhead too). I have looked at many, many homes....best place to live for ME? Ocean Front in Laguna Beach.
So.....that's my dream home. My real home is near good schools, parks, shopping, freeways...allows me to work easily and spend time with my family and friends. Home is very subjective....I would probably feel somewhat lonely on that beach in Laguna if my neighbors didn't buy the home next door.
One thing you might consider....is going out and looking around. We can do that...see some homes in different cities and price ranges. Get a feel for what's out there...then you can narrow it down based on your specific needs.
Good luck with your search!
If you would narrow it down a bit we can all focus on which place would be fabulous for you!
My favorite place is my hometown neighborhood of Rossmoor which is on the border of Seal Beach. We have the best of it all here, 5min. to the ocean, larger lot sizes than the actual beach neighborhood, great mixture of homes from 1500sqft to over 5,000sqft, lots of mature trees, close to freeway access to get to South OC or up to L.A.. It's a highly sought after neighborhood with excellent schools.
For you, it depends on your price range and how close to the beach you'd like to be or how far of a commute from work you can handle.
Let me know if you'd like some more insight or help finding YOUR best place!
