In Mahoning County, OH it usually takes just a day for a transaction to go on record once it is closed. If the closing takes place on Friday, it should go on record the following Monday. It may take up to a week if there are a lot of acres/ land associated with the property as it could get delayed in the tax-map department.

In Kansas, the change of deed is recorded within 24 hours of the closing. It can take 30-60 days for those changes to occur in other documents and on-line records.

The actual closing of a property is not when the documents are signed, it is when the documents are recorded and that should be the day of closing or first thing the next day.
