If you take all of the properties that are currently on the market in Grosse Pointe Woods (196 as of 6/12), and find the AVERAGE price per square foot, the dollar amount would be $111.88. If you add up every square foot of all the 196 homes and divide it by every dollar they are listed for, the price per square foot for Grosse Pointe Woods homes is: $114.44.

I've yet to see any appraiser in the last 6 months even touch the concept of price/sq. ft.
I don't really feel it's a fair comparable with the market today and the foreclosures skewing statistics.

Good question. Every home is different depending on what the home needs in repairs. Average for average condition is about $80 - $90.00 per sq ft.

According to statistics taken from the local mls, in the past 90 days there were 48 closings in G.P. Woods and the average price per square foot of those closings was $89.56. (information deemed to be reliable but not guaranteed)
