Hire a full time agent who does their homework and gives you accurate and current market data to help you price your home correctly. You need an agent that has the expertise, energy and technological savvy to find your buyer in the shortest possible time. Your ideal agent will take the stress out of the whole process; help you get your home ready for showings and market your home to highlight the best selling points and attract as many buyers as possible. I would love to have the opportunity to help you.

Be realistic in your expectations regarding price, and be responsive to what the market's reaction is to your home.

Work with an agent who will tell you the truth, not just what you might want to hear.

Best wishes

There is a lot of information you should know before putting your home on the market. One of the things is the correct asking price. Too high can watse time and possibly lose a good buyer who wants a market priced home. Too low can cost thousands. Another important issue is to be sure that physical appearance of the home is at it peak. One more is to be sure you have the paperwork needed to transfer the home such as a deed and survey.

There is a lot in marketing a home. It could be one of your most valuable possessions. Meeting with a local propfeesional is always the best thing to do. They will answer your questions and give you advice to help. This at no cost to you.

Good Luck!!

Hire a professional. I realize that seems like the obvious answer from an agent. But think about it, your home may be your most valuable asset, isn't it in your best interest to hire a professional who will work to get you the most money, in the least amount of time with the least amount of inconvenience.
Selling your home is more than a sign on the lawn and an accepted offer, it's getting to the closing table and in between there are inspections and appraisals and attorneys and title searches all of which if not handled correctly can kill a deal. Use a broker, one that you are comfortable with, it's in your best interest. Good luck!

Contact and interview in person a few local agents from different realty companies; ask for a cma, comparative market analysis, review the data and ask opinions regarding pricing; then choose the agent you like best and who has the most to offer; choose your agent with care as he/she will be your best guide and provide any necessary information. Pricing and marketing that maximizes exposure are paramount.....
