Carol There are many agents that just put a home on Mls. and hope it sells You should be asking what thier marketing plan is for your home, and what incentives you could be offering to lure the buyers in. The buyers have come out of hibernation and they are looking. I am an Agent in Rhode island. I Market exspired listings in your area. I lived in Rumford Growing up I lived in East Providence for 48 years before moving to Smithfield I know your area well. you need a motivated agent in this market. One who is willing to work and earn his comission. I wish you luck in finding an agent .

I think that you have a great plan. During your conversations with Realtors I recommend covering three things:
1. How will they market your property
2. What are the expected results during the marketing process
3. What will they recommend if the expected results are not realized.
I would also ask them to walk you through the sales process and point out areas that might be of concern to you.

Sources of Realtors: Trulia, ask your friends, work associates, professionals such as your CPA, attorney.
Good luck!

You should sit down and interview agents and review their detailed marketing plan for your home. A good realtorĀ® will have a plan to get your home sold.
