This is a vague question, which I will make an effort to answer as best as possible.
A co-op apartment will yield you a large two or three bedroom depending on the area.
This will get you a large studio or one bedroom in a new condominium development if you are lucky and get in during pre-construction. In the boroughs, this will actually get you a two bedroom in the same type of new construction or a larger one bedroom in an older condo.
