I have been asked if I would be interested in selling a lot that I own in Panama City Beach. I am trying to find out the market value of that property. Can you steer me in the right direction?

You can definitely have a local realtor complete a market analysis for you at no cost. I always recommend contacting a well recognized, reputable company within the same area of your property. If you decide to sell your lot and the buyer must obtain a mortgage, you or the buyer (it is negotiable) will then have to incur the cost of an actual appraisal. For now, contact the experienced, local realtor who has handled the sale of vacant land. Good luck!

There are a couple of choices available to you. You can contact an appraiser and get an appraisal which will cost between $330 and $400 or contact real estate professional and request a FREE comparative market analysis (CMA).

The best way to find the value of the lot is to obtain an appraisal or a CMA. The appraisal would cost approximately $350, but the CMA (comparable market analysis) can be obtained free of charge from a Realtor. I would be happy to help you with this if you're interested.
