The statistics Lisa are referring to are from the NAR. Not exactly an unbiased source.

My answer to that type of post is generally that it just shows why buyers should avoid agent represented properties. You see what happens when a couple of agents get together. The buyer ends up paying18-22%, and maybe more than what he/she/they would have paid for a FSBO. I also have written a blog (link below) on the subject of distorting statistics. You might want to have a look. Jack, you might want to have a look as well, just to understand what is going on here.

Why not let me refer you to an agent in your area? Did you know that statistically a FSBO will sell for 18-22%, and maybe more...less than a home listed with a professional? Than more than covers the commissions associated with a sale. Let your agent earn their money and do things like post on sites, like Trulia, for you....

Nice try, but it's not quite that easy for your house to appear in the listing section of Trulia. It must be submitted through a Trulia accepted source. Those are agents/brokers, or those firms having them under contract. That said, I have seen a Vflyer submission by a FSBO get accepted, however it was a flat-fee listed property. You may create an ad in the blog section on this site. In that section in creating your ad you can upload a youtube video and photos, as well as posting links to other sites that contain info on the property.
