I went through this with my daughter a number of years ago. I believe my accountant's answer then was that you can amend you taxes up to seven years.

I'm not for sure on this or if the laws have changed, but this would definitely be a question for a CPA.

You are better off checking with an accountant, if you have one. Otherwise, I'd go to call the NJ site and get a solid answer.

FIRST ANSWER

Did you file a homestead rebate application back then and just forget to cliam it? Check out this website for some answers. An accountant could also answer this question.
