The only way to accurately define a lot size is to have it measured by a surveyor.

It is not uncommon for there to be descrepancies between the assessor's records and the physical lot size. If you stake the corners know that you are accepting legal liability for defining the boundaries. Having the lot surveyed places the burden of proof and any liability on the surveyor.

Good luck.

The easy, may-or-may-not-be-accurate way is to check the county tax records. Land records may or may not have exact information. The most accurate way to find out "exactly" is to hire an appraiser.

Hi Pcruse -

You can find this and more information about your home via Madison County's website. It's located at http://www.co.madison.il.us/OtherSites/ParcelData.shtml

According to the county, your lot measures approximately 124.5 x 121.5

If you need help with any other information gathering, just let me know.

When you're ready to put your house on the market, please keep me and my team mate in mind. We'd be happy to sit down with you when you're ready to discuss your needs.

Have a great evening!
Kristina
