Hi Sandra,

While your agent is your best resource, you do have other options that will help you to have a more informed conversation with your current agent, if you so choose. I would suggest going to your county auditor's site to research recent sales. Many auditor sites now have a "comparative sales" section. Of course trulia has resources and also zillow, although there is some controversy regarding zillow's accuracy. Many agent sites also have a section dedicated to home values and comparative market analysis, including recent sales.

I may be wrong, but reading between the lines it sounds as if you and your agent may have a communication problem. A successful sale hinges on communication between seller and realtor. After you do your research, please give them an opportunity to explain the information you have found. Market analysis is more than just "statistics". If after that you still have doubts, then you do have other options.

Best of luck,

Sandra,

Since you are a seller as well as a buyer, you should ask your real estate agent to pull those for you. I checked on our local board of realtors' site, and see that your house is listed currently. Make sure that you have great communication with your agent, for he is the one to pull all of the solds in your neighborhood and keep you up to date on the market in your area. He is working for you, and you are a team. Good luck with the sale of your home!
