All of the listings are really the brokers. The broker has to release the listing contract with a seller before they can list the house with the agent working under another broker.

You would be forcing the Clients to abandon the Agent:
An acrimonious relationship will not work.

If the agent has a good relationship with their Broker they usually do. Though it is all up to the Broker.

The broker owns the listings, so it is up to them.

I always let my agents take their listings; homeowners really work with individuals, not companies.

Would you like to work with me?

It's up to the broker, because the listings actually belong to the broker rather than the agent.
