It's amazing what can be accomplished organizing belongings, doing a little good old fashioned cleaning and painting.

Focusing on curb appeal will get the attention of the general public which in turn wil encourage them to want to get inside to see the rest.

You can do several things to get more money for your home. The first thing is to clear out all the clutter. Box up your personal items and put them in storage - try to depersonalize the home. Putting a fresh coat of paint (neutral color) on the walls will go along way. If there are stains on the carpet or pet odors, hire a carpet cleaning company to clean them. Spruce up the yard and the flower beds with fresh pinestraw and fresh Spring flowers- the outside of the house is a buyer's first impression and if it is not appealing you will never get a potential customer inside the home. Also you might want to get a pre-inspection done on the home to fix any potential problems and so they are no surprises later.

I live 3 miles from Inman and to answer your question, there are many things that you need to consider when it comes to ways of increasing home values. Like, what kind of homes are on your street, your neighborhood; what is around in your immediate area; finishing procrastinated projects, simple house cleaning, fresh paint, cut grass etc. it all depends if it is worth doing it.
