After all, our home is worth what we are asking compared with quality, looks, and value in homes in same community.

Price it properly at the start and you won't have to be concerned about price reductions. If your home isn't staged like a model home, you may want to consider that as well.

I presume that you have had a good, updated CMA done; and that you KNOW that you are at Market Value:
If this is just your wishful opinion, then it won't work. The Buyers will look at the Comps and the Market Value; you cannot fool them anymore.

If you are Okay there, then the only thing you can do is to make the house more attractive:
Half the furniture goes into storage.
All the Clutter and Personal items disappear.
Store eveything that you do not use on a daily basis.
A few, select pieces of Art and some fresh flowers will work.
Keep up with laundry and the dishes daily.
Don't cook fish or any strong smelling food.
If you smoke, (in the house) stop! Buy a couple bottles of Fabreze and spray curtains and rugs. Wash all the blankets and spreads, (curtains too, if you can).
Touch up the walls and paint a neutral color, other than WHITE.
Do not stash everything in closets and cupboards.
When you have an Open House, bake cookies or bread, and leave them out for visitors.
Have an Open House every two weeks, and schedule a Broker's Open House too.

If you just did everything, you spent about $200.
Good luck and may God bless

Meet with a couple of local, licensed, board affiliated Realtors(R). Choose one that you feel comfortable will make your best interests their priority and follow their pricing strategy.

If you're not using a Realtor, maybe you should consider one.
If you are, ask your Realtor for the feedback on the recent showings and proceed accordingly.
