What happens to the percentage paid to my Realtor if I as the seller find the buyer but the home is listed with a Realtor?

All good answers below. And remember too, finding the buyer is only a small part of what the listing agent does. The negotiating, the paperwork, and protecting your best interests throughout the transaction is a huge value you are paying for too.

This is a question for the Realtors that you will interview when you list your property. There are several things that can happen and it is best that you discuss it with them.

Nothing!... If your using the latest RANM listing agreement, it breaks it down for you, and the most common agreement is a 6% commission that gets split in half between your agent and the agent bringing the buyer... So you still owe your agent half, but save 3%!... Good job!

Commission paid is per office policy, so it's probably best to have this discussion with your listing agent; and concern can be addressed when home is listed.
