We listed our home 6 days ago and we are anxious to sell. Any good marketing ideas or other advice? Our realtor seems to be dragging his feet.

There are 'way fewer buyers who are anxious to buy.
The activity level for a listing agent is like an inverse bell curve - there's a flurry of work to be done before the property goes on the market, and another flurry in getting offers through to closing, but really not so much that's useful in the center.
You and your agent should agree on an "update schedule," where you guys talk once a week or every other week or every day or whatever you like, where you let your agent report on whatever activity they've been aware of, how much activity other agents in their office have been reporting, and for you to tell them, Gee, I Hope It Sells Fast.
I know this is no consolation, but there's a reason that most people do not refer to Recessions as "Good Times."
All the best,

This is a difficult market for sellers.
When a Realtor has your home listed for sale on the MLS and with signs, and other websites, ect. Those tools are working for you 24/7.
I give my sellers a booklet with all of my Marketing clearly outlined, so they know exactly what to expect.
I would communicate directly with your listing agent and voice your concerns if you feel they are not doing their job.
Best wishes!

Dear Newonthemarket Seller,
6 days please do not be anxious... We are in a buyers market, which means there are many more properties available for a potentially interested buyer, and approved buyer to select from, even just to select to see!'
And 6 days in today's market is nothing to be concerned about....

may be you should connect with your listing agent and ask him/her what currently the inventory situation is.
Your Agent can easily select similar homes to yours in size and a bit expanded price range, in your area and potentially depending on your location, surrounding areas, and then take the number of recently sold homes over the last let's say 6 months, and figure in the similar properties currently on the market - that calculation would give you a time frame for how much inventory is on the market and how long it may take for your property to sell!

Just an example for you, let's say during the last 6 months similar homes at a similar size and price only 3 have sold during the last 6 months, and there are currently in your immediate area and the surrounding areas (you know buyers look around and these days they are looking for the very best and the very lowest price and I am sure your area is not exception!) about 12 similar homes on the market all competing with yours... This would mean that your area has 24 months i.e. 2 years of inventory, and nobody can tell you whether yours will be looked at or get an offer within the first 6 months or the last 6 months....
The only thing that can improve your odds is a perfectly prepared and updated home, and the right lowest possible price you can live with, and some inventive marketing, but your agent will know what could work in your area. Although, with so few buyers, qualified buyers out there, you may still have to have patience.
Give it another week and then discuss with your Realtor, the inventory situation in your area/&surrounding areas.

Hope this helps a little.... You will need some patience or you need very aggressive pricing but then I assume you discussed all that with your agent already.
Good luck to you!

Wow, only 6 days on the market, and you already feel that your agent is dragging his feet?

What exactly is "not" happening? Did he prepare a printed marketing plan, and is he keep to it's schedule. Are you "not" getting as many showings as you were told to expect.... or expecting?

Selers are typically anxious and want a flood of buyers coming to look at their home - however that is not the market right now. Your REALTOR is the person you have entrusted with the sale of your home and your questions are best directed to them. If you take a look at the presentation and pre-listing paperwork you may have been given a marketing plan which would tell you what the agent is doing as far as marketing your home. There is a limited number of buyers and across the area we are seeing more activity in the lower price ranges.
