We currently own a home in Oak Grove, KY which we bought 3 years ago. We live on base and are renting the home for about $200 less than our mortgage

just so we have someone in it. We had it on the market for 6 months 2 years ago but it did not sell. We are now PCSing in February and it is possible the renters may be moving as well. We currently owe about $122,000 on the home. Similar houses in that area are listed for $129,000-$136,000. We want to sell the house and be done with it as we are not moving back to this area. Any suggestions?

Mary,

Market analysis's are done for free by any realtor. Make sure you interview a few before deciding to list if you do decide to hire a realtor.

When you had the home listed before was it listed at the right price?

If you honestly feel the home would sell for $122,000 then why not list it for $135,000 and then see what happens. If the market determines that it is too high reduce it $10,000.

I would search for a realtor and have them come in to tour the home and give you their price. Price it properly, have them market it (see what they offer) and then see if it sells. But first make sure it shows well.
