Shouldn't my realtor be sending me "houses for sale" to my email?

Javier Marin
Home Buyer
Spring Valley, CA

I am working with a realtor at this moment but I feel like I'm doing his job. I’m looking for houses and once I find something I call him so he could just show me the inside. I’m just tired of looking and not receiving anything from him. HELP!

Hi Javier,
Actions speak louder than words. Go get another Realtor that satisfies your needs.

The biggest issue I see in posts to Trulia are based on lack of unmet expectations. I suggest having a face to face meeting and discuss:
1. what you need in a home, versus what you want in a home
2. Your critieria (budget, timeframe, fixer ok, short sale ok, REO ok?
3. What you expect from your Realtor? email me listings, go look at some homes now, later, in the future, never?

Ask your Realtor for a Home buyer's guide. If they don't have one ask them to ask their title representative.

That should be a good start.
Post if you need more help.

Talk to your realtor and ask him to send you listing that matches what you are looking for and your price range. I hope you are already pre-qualified for a loan so that your realtor and told him what you wanted so he knows what to look for and send you.

Javier,

Ask him if you can have homes sent to your email. If you are not satisifed with the services you are receiving, look for another realtor.

Hi Javier,
Please ask him to send you some listings by email. Be specific on the area you want, the square footage, the number of bedrooms and baths and the lot size. He can also check the schools fo you. If he won't do this for you, find another agent who will meet your needs.
Good Luck,
Laarni

Javier,

Just ask your agent to send you properties by email. Be as up front as possible, he/she can't read your mind. If there is something that you would like them to do, ask them to.
