Short sales have been closing quicker than 6 months ago here , how about in other areas?

FIRST ANSWER
I saw a panel on Short Sales at the recent California Association of REALTORS meetings in Sacramento and a bank representative said that we would see a greater emphasis on short sales during the next 6 months or so. He said that the bank have done all the loan mods they could and that short sales would be the next focus because it is less expensive for them to do than a foreclosure.
