...are they doing their job as expected, and if you feel they are not, what else do you see that they could do or that you would recommend that they could do to help sell your home, within reason? (Agents need to know these things, so call your agent if you have concerns.)
I couldn't agree with Don Leske more! Communication with your agent is essential. It is always best to have this conversation in the beginning of the listing period on how frequently and by what means the contact will be about information on your home. However anytime is a good time to call your agent and express your concerns as he or she may have not undestood what is really important and sometimes our concerns change a bit. Good advice Don.
I think my agent is doing what he should as far as marketing. There was a time when he wasn't responding to e-mails, which was very annoying, but we've spoken about it and figured out it was a miscommunication (he thought others in the office were responding, as I had cc'd his assistant and my buyer's agent, who is in his office).
Speaking for myself, as long as I know what to reasonably expect, and those expectations are met, I'm ok.
