If I sell my house and have some equity from that house sale, how long do I have to reinvest that equity and not be taxed on it?

The rollover amount for real estate is quite high upon sale of a home, yet finding a spot for that equity is what will have the long term effects. Talk to your tax advisor to see the what would work best for your personal situation and circumstances.

This is a question you should ask your Tax Accountant because the rules change regularly.
