Best of luck!
But there is no reason that you can not contact the bank and look into a loan modification before it forecloses! Banks today are more than willing to listen to customers and given this situation they may work with you on it! I would contact the bank directly if I were you.. get your ducks in line, meaning all the paperwork from the will to the loan inforamtion, the death certificate and son on and be prepared to have t all ready for the bank. To see what can happen.
You should also check wiht the attorney handling the estate.. maybe he/she knows what theyare doing and can help. Otherwise, Email me and lets discuss the bank situation and we can see at they can do.. I may not be in NY.. but that is not necessary and I can help you find some numbers to call and such.
Let me know!
What ever happend with your situation? You asked for some advice back in December of 2010.. just curious as a Realtor just answeredf the question and it pooped up in my inbox and now I am wondering how it worked out for you with the bank.
Give us an update!
